Hakodate Meijikan

The place where Hakodate Meiji-kan was located was in Hakodate which was the gateway to Hokkaido in 1911. It is the former Hakodate post office built as the first post office in Hokkaido. It retains its shape until today, as a building to endure the war and tell the history of this place.The Hakodate post office relocated and changed the name to the central post office.The historic building featured by red bricks "Old Hakodate Post Office" was reborn as a shopping mall, "Hakodate Meiji Hall."
